The Gastlybriar Zoo Incident - The Guildhall at SMU                             February – July 2008
Level Designer, Half-Life 2 team project

  • Designed, created LDD, built BSP/Displacement, lit, and detailed West Wing level
  • Worked with team to concept gameplay, level designs, and story

 

Freeman’s Run  - The Guildhall at SMU                                                     March – May 2008

  • Designed, built BSP, lit, and detailed a custom Half-Life 2 Episode 2 level featuring a destructible environment with non-linear gameplay

  • Worked with 3 level designers create 2 levels to match existing Quake 4 style and quality

  • Scripted all lighting effects and ship sequences using .script text format (8 pages of script)
  • Created 324 lights and 37 custom Quake 4 GUI interfaces scripted to reflect ship system status

  • Worked with a partner to create a custom Oblivion Module with three quests
  • Wrote and implemented complete story dialog and quest scripting (~100 lines of text)

Ohio Teaching Family Association             Swanton, OH              2002-2007
Foster Care Teaching Parent

  • Directed a group home program for seriously disturbed teens and supervised a team of teaching assistants.  Screened referrals and selected youth for participation in the treatment, met with agency personnel, went to hearings and case reviews, worked with schools and youth’s parents.
  • Cared for registered sex offenders, emotionally disturbed, psychotic, handicapped, and delinquent youth teaching academic skills, interpersonal social skills, and vocational skills such as welding, automotive and motorcycle mechanics, carpentry, drywall, and woodworking.
  • Worked with and supervised youth during Habitat for Humanity projects and other community volunteer work.
  • Created and implemented motivation systems and cognitive behavioral therapy programs for troubled youth to decrease aversive behavior and teach alternative positive behavior.
  • Shaped behavior using cognitive behavioral psychology techniques; conditioning, reinforcement, extinction, and schedules of reinforcement.
