Jessica Johnson
Level Designer
Welcome to my portfolio. The following pages contain examples of my work during my time as a Masters student at the Guildhall at SMU. However, before proceeding to those pages, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I decided to pursue a career in level design not only because I love games but because it combines many of my interests, including creative writing, set and lighting design, history, and anthropology, into a single career. Also, I am someone who prefers to be constantly learning and trying new things, and who likes to work as part of a team on a creative project. While I enjoy many aspects of level design, my preferences tend towards those that relate back to storytelling and environmental design. I have found that I also like the process of designing and balancing systems, and hope to have more time to explore systems design in the future.
This portfolio is still a work in process, and more images will be available shortly. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me at johnson@smu.edu. Thank you for your time and consideration.
