After receiving my Bachelor in Fine Arts with a focus in Graphic Design from West Virginia University in 2008, I continued my education at the Guildhall at Southern Methodist University and graduated in 2009 with a certificate in Digital Game Development with an emphasis in Art Creation. Currently, I am enrolled in the Guildhall at Southern Methodist University finishing my Masters with a focus in User Interface Design.

GAME EXPERIENCE
PLAY SOLDIER 2009
Play Soldier is an Unreal 3 total conversion single player action game, seen through the vivid imagination of a small boy and you, the player, control his favorite toy soldier tasked to rescue their brother in arms from the clutches of his evil sister’s army. Play Soldier was developed by a 15-person team. My responsibility on Play Soldiers was the User Interface Design. I would work directly with Play Soldiers-level designers to implement the UI. I was also one of Play Soldier’s 5 Environmental Artists.
o Designed Play Soldiers “Imagination Bar”, a combination health bar and current usable abilities meter.
o Designed Play Soldier’s in-game tutorial
o Designed Play Soldier’s menus system
o Created 3D environmental models for Play Soldiers and unwrapped them
o Applied normal map to 3D models
o Assisted in the design and development of packaging and marketing materials for Play Soldier.
o Created multiple environmental concepts for the art style guide.
ELASTI-BALL 2009
Elasti-Ball is an Unreal 3 total conversion multi-player sports title, it combined Parkor and pro Basketball elements. Elasti-Ball heavily emphasizes teamwork through co-op team based play. Players utilized a grappling hook-like device and traverse the terrain to avoid opponents and in an effort to score against
the opposing team. Elasti-Ball was created by a 6-person team. My responsibility on Elasti-Ball, as the games Art lead, was to manage my team of artists and work with the producer to make sure art content was being developed and imported into the game’s overall pipeline in a timely manner. I maintained the
overall visual theme of Elasti-Ball and kept up to date recorders on the Art department’s documentation.
I also was the game User Interface designer and I created all the assets for the games UI and then worked with the Level Designers to implement the UI into Elasti-Ball. I was also one of the game’s 3 environmental artists.
o Designed Elasti-Ball’s in-game Heads Up Display or HUD
o Designed Elasti- Ball’s in-game icons
o Designed Elasti-Ball’s menus systems
o Created environmental assets (10 model, 10 unwrap, and 10 texture maps)
o Created the environmental concepts for art style guide (15 concepts)
o Designed developer logo “Sticky Fingers”
o Performed project management duties and maintained the visual integrity of
Elasti-Ball as the games Art lead.
LEAP of FATE 2008
A 2D single player platform using Torque2D game engine in the vein of Super Mario. My responsibilities were to design and animate 2D characters as well as create scrolling 2D environments and assets. I designed and created the team’s brand identity as well as the game’s packaging and marketing materials. Leap of Fate was created by a 5-person team.
o Created Final Boss with 3 distinct animations.
o Created the Office building levels side scroll environment and assets.
o Created environmental assets, “navigation signs” for Factory level 02
o Designed packaging and marketing materials for Leap of Fate.
o Designed developer logo Digital Sandwich.
