Canopic Chaos is a first-person team-based arena combat game with an Egyptian theme. Built as a mod to UT2004, its gameplay was based on the concept of freeze tag. Players, in the guise of mummies, have a mystic staff that allows them to freeze members of the opposing team or thaw their own team members. When frozen the players drop canopic jars, which can be collected by the opposing team. These jars must be delivered to the center of the map at a central scoring area to increase the team score, leading to frenetic action as the two teams try to protect their players while blocking the other team from scoring.
Team Role: Art lead, I was responsible for creating asset lists and delegating these tasks among a small team assets. I was also acted as a go-between for the programmers and level designers. I created the assets for the frozen state "ice coffin" and mystic staff.
