Artery

Arterial corridors running throughout the body once fostered free movements of the vessels within.  Now they only serve to connect the terror of the wretched souls trapped inside. Environment scene based on concept art and linework from Obsidian's Alien RPG. Texture maps include 3 sets of 512x512 diffuse, specular, and normal maps; as well as one 256x256 opacity map and a single 4x4 emissive material.

Vertigo

This environment scene is based on a piece of concept art from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.  I wanted to capture the motion and urgency from the source image as well as the contrasting play between light and shadow. This scene took me about four days and consists of 12,086 tris, one 2048 texture map and several smaller maps for the debris.  

Taipei Alley

This environment scene was inspired by an image whose gloominess and stark, grimy reality I wanted to convey.  The scene portrays the few moments before a rainstorm rolls in as the shop owners frantically stack their boxes into the entrance towards the back in order to preserve their goods for another day.   All objects and assets within this scene were purposefully built to be imported into the Unreal Engine 3 and with slight modification [in scale-units] to the Unity Game Engine.   8102 Triangles, with Diffuse, Specular, Normal and Opacity maps, all ranging between 256 and (two)2048.

Favela Market

This environment really appealed to me, the interesting space created by cramped buildings sitting nearly on top of each other and a stairway descending towards a corner market.  I wanted this scene to be brightly lit  to complement the liveliness of the local culture.  I built this scene to be imported easily into the Unreal Engine 3 and Unity Engines.  6802 Tris, (two)2048 Diffuse, Specular, and Normal Maps.

UH-60 Blackhawk

A personal project that I have tweaked many times, this is the most recent version of my UH-60 Blackhawk.   I have allowed for unit insignia, markings and modular accessory sets.  6887 Tris, 4231 Verts with M240D mounted guns, fuel boom, and all doors.  Diffuse, Specular, Normal, and Opacity Maps.

2D Digital Artwork

My background includes traditional media: drawing, painting, sculpture and photography, skills which I continue to refine and integrate in my digital art work. These works both satisfy my desire to continually refine my painting abilities and my texturing abilities at the same time.
