Skills
Modeling: High and low poly modeling, unwrapping, texturing, normal mapping, and rendering,
with a focus on environmental art.
Art Creation: Concepts, communication, and visual design using 2D imagery, 3D models/rendering/
animation, and traditional media.
Visual effects: Creating particle effects in-game using the Unreal Engine 3 (UE3) Cascade Editor.
In-engine work: Working with art pipelines; importing 2D and 3D assets; working with environmental
effects, lighting, and visual optimization for Unreal Engine 3 and Source SDK/Hammer. Creating
shaders and materials in UE3.
Applications: Autodesk 3dsMax, Autodesk Mudbox, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office,
Tortoise SVN, Perforce.
General game production: Rapidly learning new tools and software; working on large and small teams,
document creation, pitches and prototypes.
Game Experience
Realism in Weapon Effects, Master’s Thesis Project Dec. 2008 - May 2009
- Compared realistic and “Hollywood style” weapon effects using UT3 mods with custom weapons
and particle effects
- Created test level for the project in UE3
