PROCEDURAL REALISTIC CITY GENERATION IN REAL TIME USING ORGANIC GROWTH METHODS

Purpose

This thesis project is a joint effort with artist Lori Wilson in the creation of a 3D city generator for the Unity engine (unity3d.com).

The purpose of this project is to develop a method for randomly and organically generating a realistic city in real-time. This includes a road system, urban and suburban zoning and architecture, as well as parks and lakes. With the end result, a game designer should be able to design a game around the dynamically evolving world.
