StarShade Valley

StarShade Valley is a game created from Unreal 3. The aim of the game is to escape from the planet by evading and killing the shades. Players can enhance their abilities by capturing various buildings. Shades can also capture buildings using the modified AI I inherited from the team and squad AI classes that UnrealScript provides. My other contributions are setting up the HUD map interface (dots on the screen represent a buildng that can be captured and lights red for players and purple for shades), Setting up a new game type for the game, weapons management for players and shades, events, actions and triggers need for the game (one example is when a shade or player captures a building, the building sign color changes) and network configurations for multiplayer option.

Celerity

The final level for this game was created from my custom 2D engine. The robot must fall to the bottom without hitting too many branches. If the robot does, then it loses a life and must start all over again. Programming resposibilities for this level includes collision detection, generating the level (branches) using an XML loader, sound and music, parallax scrolling, keyboard and joystick control, falling correctly (physics), menu screens and playing movies for losing and winning.
