While attending the program, students receive class instruction from industry experienced faculty on resume and cover letter writing, interview techniques, online portfolio creation, negotiation, and testing.

The Guildhall at SMU further enhances a students' career outlook by hosting an on-site career fair prior to graduation, as well as information sessions with studios. Professional studios are welcome to talk about their company or topics of interest to the industry. Recruiting, however, is reserved for specific dates during the school year.
