Hello and welcome to my portfolio.
My name is Hunter Hyneman, and I am a level designer with a passion for scripting complex sequences.
In December 2009, I graduate from the Guildhall at SMU. This portfolio contains images and brief descriptions of the best work, both individual and team, completed over the last year here at the Guildhall.
Before attending the Guildhall, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University. However, my goal has always been to make video games. My love of all things games began when my mother bought me The Legend of Zelda, Simon's Quest, and a Nintendo Entertainment System when I was four. Since then, my infatuation has blossomed into a dedication to crafting experiences that instill the sense of wonder and excitement I felt as a child.
Professionally, I thrive on constructing intricate scripted sequences that draw upon my multiple skill sets and challenge me mentally. For me, there is nothing better than analyzing the task at hand, breaking it into its multiple facets, and then constructing those facets in the particular order that best suits the goals of my design. The joy I find in problem solving also spurs me to deconstruct systems, particularly the skill systems and economies of massively multiplayer online games.
