Coursework for 3D models involves developing creativity and technical ability for character and environment art from concept to finish. This process includes learning high and low poly modeling, texturing, normal mapping, rigging, animating and more. Students use 3D Studio Max, Z Brush, Mudbox, Adobe Photoshop, and other programs.

Artists learn to invent functional character designs. This involves thinking about walk/run cycles, multiple position sequences, and to considering the larger worlds in which these concepts might live.

Artists take 3 terms of life drawing during which they learn anatomy, traditional drawing techniques, clay modeling, and gain experience drawing from a live model.  The purpose of these courses is to help build observation skill and concepting skill for portraying the moving figure.
